KETO+GM Diet

The weight has been slowly risen since Jan. 2018. I had managed 8st-8st2lb since Nov. 2016 until Dec. 2017 but I was about 8st 11-13lb on and from mid 2018. There has been  certain health issues but I guess I wasn't willing to maintain the weight much. And it always starts that all my clothes become tighter then, I realise I have to loose some weight off. Not only for the appearance and size but also I know that my knee will be start to sore some point from 9st.

I don't feel like get into fasting at this time. I have to find some other way to control my appetite and habit that drink a alcohol in the (almost every ) evening with dinner. I know the main reason that I put on weight is that when my stomach is stretched and I over eat. Over eating definitely cause fat accumulation in the body. I know that from both theories and a personal experience.

I have to find the way and I remembered when I tried GM diet years ago, I felt great and also I lose couple of weights off , too. So I combine GM diet with KETO.

In theory (more likely hypothesis) of GM diet is almost similar to KETO except fat consumption.
I plan 7 day of GM diet based on Ketogenic diet, low carb & high fat.

DAY 1
Fruit only day

Choose Low Carb Fruit
Lower your fat intake
(Think as protein fasting day in Bulletproof diet)

My chosen fruit is avocado, lemon, lime, cantaloupe and strawberry.

Lemon water

Prepare the cantaloupe

Strawberries

Lime water

Dinner

Day 2
Vegetable only day

Choose low carb veggies
Avoid starch root veggies
Use AVC, lemon & olive oil for the dressing

I like salad so I had a huge ball of salad for dinner.
It was an unexpectedly busy day so I couldn't have a proper lunch.
I had lots of plum tomato for breakfast and all day.

Big ball of salad

Day 3
Fruit and Vegetable Day

I felt great and not that hungry at all.
I guess I missed fruit&veggi in my diet.

Salad with homemade parsley, lemon & olive oil dressing

I had an early dinner so I had avocado & dried seaweed sheet before go to bed.

Day 4
Originally banana & low fat milk day

I have to think hard to decide what to eat on Day 4.
Banana and milk both are unrecommended food in KETO.
I had to research what day 4 is about because all chosen food each 7 days has reasons.
Generally people said it is a 'mineral replenishing phase'. It means that mainly getting calcium and potassium from both ingredients.

I choose Avocado and Dairy products.
GM diet suggest 3 glass of milk and up to 6 banana on the day.
From my calculation, 2 large avocado (or 3 medium) and 120g mozzarella for day 4.

And I had to have my favourite cream coffee in the morning.

Mozzarella with olive oil and salt&pepper

Avocado, double cream & coconut oil smoothie

On day 4, I wasn't feel good in the morning. And soon I found out the period has been started. I stayed in the bed all day and luckily it was Saturday.

Day 5
Beef(protein) and tomato day

From Day 5, nothing to adjust from original GM diet.
Just don't be afraid to add some fat in the meals.
I recommend olive oil.

I had about 500g of rib-eye on day 5.

Day 6
Beef(protein) and vegetable except tomato day

My favourite day.
I had a big ball of salad in the morning and had again rib-eye for early dinner.

Day 7

Brown rice is recommended on day 7 but it is apparently you could eat anything like vegetarian.
So any veggies and low carb fruit will do.

Drinks

Only water is the best but you could drink black coffee and tea.

At least 2l of water is recommended to drink a day in GM diet as well as it is known a one of healthy ways keep body hydrate. In fact, I don't believe that. But since I have been willing to try GM diet so I TRIED to drink more water.

I normally enjoy drink all sort of tea at least two big mugs a day.

And again, too much drinking water made fizziness in my bladder after the day 3.
So from day 4, I only drank when I want to drink.

So I lost about 4.3kg, 9.4lb and I am satisfied.
I'd like to keep the weight as much as possible
and I will try to drink alcohol less, for real.
