We all hoped for the spring on mid March but we have had snow day.
It was a very much of the last of winter.
Every in the morning I open the garden door for K&L and it was day, I gently screamed.
I have never seen this snow since we moved in this house. Beautiful!
Over night snowing cover the ground seems I am in different place.
How appropriate to post about snow day in middle of March?
I have missed chance the day on last year and I posted the snow day in middle of sunny spring day.
Fortunately, it was snowing again today and I won't miss to finish the post on today.
And couple of more snow day in winter 2018.
This post has been long overdue.
June, we just felt summer was around corner.
Kiki and Lilly is 7 years old and I thought I know the life with living with dogs.
But always unexpected things comes up in the life.
First beach time in 2017.
I knew we wouldn't have time to enjoy the summer because of the upcoming wedding, I would like to enjoy the summer as much as possible when we have a spare time.
We again had a lovely time in the beach of Reculver.
Preparing meal for K&L is just ritual for me.
Nothing special, we just share what I eat.
The treats that they love!
I spotted something was not normal on Kiki's upper lips.
It looked like the infection. It has been never happened before.
I sometimes think how an earth Kiki is never infected because she put her muzzle into everything on the street. It is not the behaviour that smell it she honestly put it in what she want to smell it.
I took care of it with witch hazel and medical level of Manuka honey.
The infection was in muzzle so she could lick the gels or ointment so I decided to use edible remedies. She got better in a week.
I never thought or worried about bee stings so far.
It was first time Lilly stung by bees and she actually cried out loud.
When it happened, I thought it is leg. I carried Lilly because she was in pain.
She started to calm down and gave me signs where the pain come from.
And thankfully, we found the sting.
Again, it has never been happened before and Lilly stung twice in this summer.
What an experience!
Mr. & I did definitely less panicked second time.
We look for the sting as fast as possible we can and remove it quickly.
And your saliva will help to reduce the pain in the area.
The lesson is that try to avoid to go near the clover flowers in the lawn.
Apart from some new episodes in companion life, K&L is happy and health.
They enjoyed breeze from the sea in the Tankerton beach.
Lilly was having a good hair day!
Have you seen a recent Carphone Warehouse ad?
You must be recognised Lilly on the ad. Yes, she have had her debut on TV ad.
The shooting was on early May.
As soon as we arrived at sassy studio, Lilly freely walked around. The studio was so dog friendly and everyone loved dog in there. All the staff took care of Lilly very well.
Prep?
No, it was Lilly's look for the shoot.
Lilly's long hair was the reason she was cast.
Lilly got all the attention on the day.
She was very well behaved so I was a very proud her.
Emma the vet was also attended while Lilly's shooting. I have learned a lot from Emma.
Emma explained and translated Lilly's behavior and it was a lovely time.
Each shooting was no more than take 5 mins at once. After short shooting time, Lilly had a break.
Lilly is small dog and there was enough space outside of studio for small walk.
I love this photo!
Lilly always carefully handled so I just stood next to camera to make sure Lilly is watching camera.
The shooting wasn't that long and it was finished earlier than expected.
Lilly had lots of biscuits and I guess Lilly never had that much treats in her life on one day.
What a day for Lilly! I can say Lilly enjoyed the day a very much.
I also enjoyed the day very much and it was such a new experience for me.
Here it is, Lilly's debut ad!
Lilly has couple of habits.
One of them is that Lilly lick the her food bowl and Kiki's after the meal around 10 mins each.
That day I put her dinner too near the heater and it was happened.
I suddenly smelt something burning and looked around. Then I found Lilly's tail was too near the fire. Lilly didn't even aware her tail hair burnt. I screamed and hold Lilly in my arm then I went straight to the kitchen sink and started to let the cold water run through her tail.
Some of Lilly's tail hair was left still on the floor after next morning.
Kiki&Lilly both are very behaved in front of the heater.
They enjoy warmness but never stand or go close too much.
It was my mistake that I wasn't even worried about this. But now I am more careful about this.
K&L both love the place in front of the heater and sometimes, they fight for the spot.
Ah! It is only Kiki who 'Grrr' to Lilly when she is at the spot.
It happened on 30 of December 2016 morning.
Kiki suddenly attacked Lilly (I guess Lilly tried to come to me and Kiki thought Lilly come near the heater.) and they started to fight. It happens sometimes so I tried to separate them.
First time, it worked. It was always Kiki who start a fight but she is the one always stop and walk away from the situation. But that day was a different.
Second fight started and I again tried to seperate them and the accident happened.
I tried to pushed Kiki away and pulled Lilly's chest but I accidently my fingers into Lilly's mouth.
It was really hurt and I bleed a lot. Soon, it got better and bleeding was also stopped.
In the evening, Mr. wanted to see the condition of fingers and then once he saw the fingers, he was seriously told me to go to A&E.
So we went. I could go to A&E in the morning but I was worried that we don't know how many hours we need to wait to have an appropriate treatment.
For me, it wasn't the life and death situation so I don't want to wait 4-5 hours for waiting.
However, dog bite treats quite seriously and it was treated in urgent care. It took around a hour and half for everything.
It still hurts but it looks getting better.
Not a big field but we do enjoy our daily short walkie in this park. It is the nearest park where I can walk the dogs but apparently it will become a private rugby play ground soon. There is already the field where dogs are not allowed in front of my home. It is very frustrating and so sad. I feel like everything is going against me either this and the Brexit.
Anyway, I decide to walk the park as long as we are allowed. Ironically, new poop bins were installed in the park. It has been no bin so I always took the poop bag to home.
It has been raining a lot but sometimes we got the sunshine.
I have planned to go to Canary Woof dog show for showing off Kiki's biscuits catching skill.
We practised this in the park even if she is very good at this. Because, I wasn't sure she can do this in the situation where many people and dogs are around.
Ready!?
Uh-oh...
Again!
Kiki is absolutely enjoying it!
Lilly who seat and waited next to me for her turn to have the treat.
She can't do the catching so pawing and dancing for Lilly.
Dogs came to say hello to us and Lilly don't like it.
Barking off the doggy friends and she like this.
Yes, today was the day.
We went Canary Woof for the fun dog show and we had very very good time!!
Do you want to know how Kiki's done? The posting is coming soon!
