Since we have found out a health issue for Kiki, I have to reduce carb in their meal even more. The only major carb intake has been from their breakfast, the oat porridge. The menu has to be changed and it hasn't been easy. I didn't realise the porridge has been a convenience dog food for me.
Kiki & Lilly both loves the porridge and it is easy to make in the morning. They've never complained for a plain porridge made with water only almost decade.
I've started with kidney or liver of lamb or cow only in the morning and feed a usual home-made food for dinner.
Lamb's liver with fruit & veggie puree.
Kidney with home-made powder mix
(turmeric, spirulina & brewers yeast).
Eggs are another option, too.
Fried eggs, porched eggs sprinkled with dried Parsley.
Perfectly porched egg with runny egg yolk.

When nothing is in the cupboard and fridge&freezer
or run out of ideas,
I still make an oat porridge with some extras.

Dried cod & courgette oat porridge.
Spinach, egg and beef bone marrow in bone broth.
(I remember what it is exactly because after couple of hours later, Lilly vomited up bunch of spinach only. So no more whole spinach for them.)
