It had been absolutely hot and scorched summer but we never complain about it much.
Last week of August was't warm as we wished but still we felt we are in summer.
Our national trust membership has been renewed and I got thank you letter from NT. As soon as I got it, I felt like to go somewhere. It has been exceptionally hot summer and I didn't feel like to go anywhere. I was so into my sister's visit in early summer and I didn't plan the holiday in this summer.
And sadly K&L aren't getting younger so it is harder and harder to plan a long journey.
I told Mr. that I want to go somewhere not far from home and we agreed to go Bodiam castle where takes only about an hour from home. And I got the best excuse to pop in my favourite farm shop, Eggs to Apples.
I obviously bought double cream from hinxdon farm and Kent grown strawberries.
I also picked up some peaches & nectarines and shop-made pasties & Dalston's cola for Mr.
We arrived Bodiam castle and we could even see the beautie from car park.
We poped in visitor's centre and we advised where we can go with dogs.
It was still in school holiday so it was packed with family visitors.
It certainly different atmosphere from last time we visited in middle of winter.
I went in the castle for the first time and it was mysterious medieval place.
I have to research more about it when I got home and it was fascinated!
