The wedding posts are not supposed to delay until this much but what can I do, time just flied.
We started to plan the wedding day from on August 2016. There was million things to do for one day and I don't think I can do again. Anyway, again, I write the post for myself because I know I will enjoy this very much.
Looking back how did we plan our wedding day is still fluttering.
I guess we both didn't have much imagination for the wedding day so we started with blank paper.
First, we agreed the date will be on July or August.
We both wanted our family members could have a special experience in historic place. The venues were searched and picked by me. I gave the list of places I want to visit and Mr. just drove and dropped me off there.
And the important thing was Lilly & Kiki can be around all day for both of us. They both are so special to our life so they had to be there.
Now I know that the decision came out messy and it caused the most chaotic ceremony ever!
Reget? I am not sure... I was upset but not angry.
Going back to search the venue, we took the photo everywhere we visited. I think it a good decision and I hope I can visit all the paces we visited again soon.
Some places I decided to visit were not exactly what we are looking for. However, I wanted to go and visit there because it was just too beautiful to miss. The finding venue was just another excuse to visit the places like Normanton Church.
If Normanton is just half the distance from London, I definitely pick there. Definitely.
Tranquility was engulfed everything. Just exquisite.
Burghley House
It was absolutely stunning. Grand, just breath taking.
And I am still thinking it would be lovely to have my wedding there.
But there were too many things I have to organise if I chose Burghley House to be the one.
Um... starting from accommodation for entire family before and after the wedding day.
It will cost another grand at least. It worries me and we started to think again...
Claydon
Here was Mr.'s favourite place.
Mr. wanted this place to be our wedding venue. of course, I love here too.
However, it was too many restrictions and transport was a very tricky. And yet, it was too distance from London. Again, I have to organise from the accommodations to everything and that was scary part. So No to Claydon with huge regrets...
Stowe
Here, Stowe was the grand scale of historic place, indeed. We have been recommended to visit there from one of the staff in Claydon. Lovely place but I didn't feel it much.
Wrest Park
Here is another gorgeous place, a little bit close to London than above places.
It is completely dog friendly apart from house so Lilly and Kiki can attend ceremony if we set the ceremony in garden.
A beautiful place but I don't know why I didn't feel I like there to be my wedding venue.
We visited couple of more places close to our home and in London. We were willing to give up our lists and tried a very hard to compromise. Yes, especially me...
It got confused more & more and there were less & less option for the date.
About end of October, I really felt butterfly in my tummy... We haven't found the one.
I'd know what I want when I see it. But until then I have seen the one before we visited Cliveden.
Yes, finally we found it.
It ticked all the box except one.
Only one! It definitely can be compromised!
Yes, of course it deserve one special posting and I am saving for it.
