It worked but I am still few pounds away my goal weight.
The weight still ups and downs on around certain point from last November.
I have had very lose April in my diet. I had a lovely Easter holiday in terms of what I eat!!
Couple of cheating days made me more craving for the food and drinks.
Result of that the weight shoot up.
I need to do something because the yoyo always come back with craving food and eat until beyond full. I have done this during Easter holidays.
I started with fasting to break the bad habit. I did 36 hours fasting day to start LCHF smoothie diet. Don't get me wrong it is NOT a detox plan. I have had my morning coffee with double cream and coconut oil and I had it more than 1 cup of coffee if I needed a day.
All smoothies have high fat content because I have to return my body in ketosis.
So this 5 smoothie day challenge gave me short cut by losing 4lb in 5 days which is more than I gained during holiday. Good result but maintaining more important than result.
The plan is that
You drink 750ml of smoothie a day.
Drink plenty of water
Drink bullet proof coffee or high fat coffee is fine.
The important thing is that it is ketogenic diet based smoothie so always add oil or fat in your smoothie. Avoid high carb fruits or vegi in your smoothie which is basic in LCHF diet.
Avocado, Spinach & Coconut Smoothie
1 small avocado
Handful of spinach
200ml coconut milk
1Tsp coconut oil (Melt it before added in smoothie)
100ml water
or if you wish to drink your smoothie super chilled add 1 cup of ice cubes.
Put all the ingredient except coconut oil and blend it.
Once it becomes liquid add coconut oil slowly into blender.
Strawberries, Cauliflower & Avocado smoothie
Mr. bought me box of strawberries which is my favourite fruits so I made strawberry smoothie.
Cauliflower in smoothie sounds weird but try it! You can't taste cauliflower at all!!
So far, this smoothie is my favourite.
10 strawberries
1/8 medium cauliflower
Half medium avocado
1Tspn coconut oil
250ml double cream
Absolutely lovely!
I love it as it is but if you add sugar free syrup or sugar substitute, it will just like strawberry milk shake!
Blueberry, Cauliflower & Crème fraîche Smoothie
1 cup of blueberries
1/8 medium cauliflower
200ml Crème fraîche
100ml double cream
1Tsp coconut oil
It tastes like blueberry&yogurt smoothie and it was pretty lovely.
Blueberry & Coconut milk Smoothie
1 cup of blueberries
1/8 medium cauliflower
200ml coconut milk
100ml double cream
1Tsp coconut oil
Handful of spinach
Half of medium avocado
Raspberry & Almond butter smoothie
Because it was last day of the smoothie day challenge, so I choose to be naughty.
1 cup of raspberries
Half of medium avocado
150ml double cream
1Tsp peanut butter
2Tsp almond butter
Or 3 Tsp for any nut butter.
1Tsp coconut oil
It feels like I am having a dessert in all day!!
I had 250ml in the morning and 350ml in the evening. I always got leftover because the plan was that rest of smoothie supposed to drink when I feel hungry.
(I don't waste my smoothies because I can share with K&L.)
I don't feel hungry much but again I have to control appetite for the foods.
It doesn't get too long you don't tempt it anymore. Food wasn't attracted from day 3 and I felt a great. I was less tired so I have realised how much energy I spend to digest foods generally. Therefore, it is a very important to rest your guts.
