Kalettes Gratin


Have you heard about Kalettes?
It is brand-new vegetable that introduced in 2015. It has developed by combining Brussels sprouts and Kale. 


I love both Brussels sprouts and Kale and I love Kalettes more. 
It is easy to cook and they has best of flavours of brussels sprouts and kale.

Why don't you try to cook Kalettes in this Christmas if Brussels Sprouts are not your family favourites? 




If you want to trim the end of kalettes do before cooking. 
I just don't bother and I just washed in running water thoroughly.



Put generous amount of butter in the preheated pan. 




Put the Kalettes in the pan and put the lid on in low-medium heat.
It will be steamed and cooked by moist in the butter. 
So, don't add any water. Leave about 7-10 mins and it is ready to eat.





 I have added more vegis for adding some colours in which are peppers and onions.


Took some away to share with K&L before put the onion in.


Then, place the kalettes mixture into oven dish and cover with grated cheese. 
Put it in 180C oven in 15-20mins until cheese is melted or browned.



Kalettes Gratin is a delicious own its on and also it is a great for side dish.
