Staycation

I have had the summer holiday from mid July for a 2 weeks. I haven't got special plans but as always I had a great time with my man and Kiki&Lilly.
I came back to work on this week and I had a very important presentation on Thursday. Then, I got another week of the holiday.

The days were great and a proper summer (but obviously, not a all days). I hated to stand in front of hove to take all the heat but do I have choice? No...
So I chose the menus that less cooking skills involved.

Samgyetang 삼계탕 is popular summer dish in South Korea. It is hot soup based dish but Koreans believe you get the certain energy that you have lost from heat.

It is a very simple and you can do many things with leftover.
I chose the simplest way that chuck it everything in the pot and braise about 1 hour.

It is too obvious that we share with K&L. There is no seasoning so I can share with my doggies.
They LOVE this.

I made chicken pho with leftover meat and soup. It was a perfect dish because the day was cooler with raining in London.

Yes, I did blogging more often.
The best time was after the morning walkie with my iced latte made by Mr.

In this summer, some days don't need duvet in the night.
Lovely Hydrangea blooms everywhere and I took one on from my front garden.

Some of the foods I cooked on this staycation.
It was taken so I post it. There are not much meanings but when I see it I remember what I did and ate during the holiday. It is very easy to forget what I do if I don't have a special holiday like go to abroad or camping, etc. I want to remember this peaceful humble days, just in case before I complain about my life.

(Dear me. You have got to remember how much you had a nice time in summer 2016. It is not fair you complain if you don't remember. Appreciate it, man!)

It was the first time to cook a thai green curry in my life. And I loved it.
Very simple and fast to cook it take about 10 mins if you cook with prawn.

Fried fish cake and onion in spicy sauce. It is one of Mr.'s favourites korean dish.

And the walkies.

We walked Greenwich park most of evening. Tourists visit here a lot so evening time is the best.

Everytime I come here, I do think I am lucky to live in London, and especially, SE London.
What a lovely park to walk around.

Our favourites for morning walks in Oxleas woods.
Actually, Oxeals woods is our all time favourite for the walkie.

We cooked the thai green curry for dinner on the last day of my first part of staycation.
Absolutely Addicted!
