My July.

July has been just wonderful.

British summer is just too good but too short.
I guess it is more precious because it is not long like winter.

Potato is out grown and also flower has bloomed.
I forgot the strawberries to move to bigger pots. I took them out from bedding and completely forgot.
(I think I did the video chat with my mum. It always makes me forget about everything around me. LOL)

10 out of 12 plants just died. Of course, I blamed myself.
I tried to save all but it was too late and the end of the day, only 2 has been survived. And I got only a very tiny 3 strawberries this year.

I am always too ambitious even if I am not keen on gardening at all. I have started to watch the gardener's world on BBC2 to remind I have some plants to take care of.

Little one pot of lavender grow really big. The smell is amazing. It reminds me that visiting the lavender farm on last year. I wanted to go there again. So I did, twice, in this July.

Yes, I did watch Wimbledon in this year, obviously. And I was so happy that Andy won the Championship, again!

We went SW London for visiting Korean supermarket, just the day before our holiday started.
Kimchi had been finished for couple of weeks and I wanted to buy some important ingredients for korean cooking.
And I didn't forger to buy steamed rice cake stools which is called 'Tteok' in Korean.

I have really really wanted to eat 'Tteokbokki' for a while.

I made summer Kimchi(s) and also a typical Kimchi which is made by chinese cabbage.

Baby mooli green and baby korean cabbage Kimchi

Korean chive kimchi.
It was the first time to make the chive kimchi for me. It is one of my favourite Kimchi but I couldn't easily buy it anywhere in London.

It was tricky to wash and prepared the chive.

The chive had been a bit out-grown so some of them has flowers.
It means it won't be soft and delicate. But I just happy that I can buy this in UK.

So, 4 different kind of Kimchi(s) has been made in July.

Traditionally, cook a steamed pork on the day we made kimchi.

Bunch of chive flowers are beautiful.
After few days later, it smells like a really powerful garlic so I throw away.

And...

I looked around my photo folder in last July. There were photo that reminds me many happy memories with D in the last summer.

And I found this. It must be taken accidently, I guess.

After I saw this photo, I was depressed for a couple of days.

May was diagnosed Angiosarcoma at that time and sadly, neglected by her vet she died because of the kidney failure. After May's death, May's mum attacked by internet trolls and their poisonous words took May's mun's life.

She was a gentle, kind and the sweetest lady. She did care about the animals and tried to fight. I remember many things what she did. I was devastated at that time and still really sad. All I can wish for now is that they have a great time together in heaven.

I really miss May's smile and May's mum's lovely blog posting.
