Water over the Road

Have you had a lovely bank holiday weekend?
The weather wasn't perfect in London but I got a good and proper rest at home.

We visited a small village called Bosham in west sussex on last Friday.
If you are googling 'Bosham', the village is well known for flood. It sounds kind of nasty, but when you get there, it does make sense.

I have found couple of maps in Bosham on the web, so we planned to follow one of the course of the maps.

?????

What????

Where is the road??????

We have found the sign ; 'The road floods each time' and we soon understood the situation. It was a high tide on the day so the water floods over the road. So, we chose other route to walk around the village.

We planned to visit the pup for a cuppa, but it was full in the tetras seats on the sea side.
So, maybe, next time.

Water is just next to bank when is high tide so no wonder why here is famous for the flood.

Spring in UK is just too beautiful.
I don't like a long and wet British winter but I love rest of the seasons.

We couldn't get in the Holy Trinity Church. But we enjoyed overlook of the church.

After we walked around the village, we found out the tide is getting lower. But still the road is flooded and we couldn't go to the beach.

Every house next to the beach has drain hole on the wall. I guess they get use to the condition.

And I found the house named 'Flood Cottage'.

How an ironic!

I just adore the british humor.
