As you all know, Korean loves BBQed meat. (Who doesn't like them, anyway?)
This is quick and easy Korean style oven cooked pork belly.
It is oven cooked but not roasted.
Oven cooked pork belly is taster than pan fried. Less greasy, light and crispy with full flavor.
Buy sliced pork belly and remove skin.
And halves (butterflied) the sliced pork belly then score the meat.
Then seasoning with salt and pepper. I added green tea powder.
After this, it is all ready to cook. You can cook it next day if meat is fresh.
Cook 250C about 15-20mins.
Skin is cooked for K&L for treats.
The pork looks a bit dry but it is perfectly cooked as crispy outside, soft and juicy inside.
Prepared with some big leaves such as iceberg or any kind of lettuce for SSAM.
I have prepared with iceberg, cucumber, Kimch and soy sauce picked onion with SSAMJANG which is dipping sauce that go well with any cooked meat and vegetables.
I don't eat SSAMJANG, so I just simply prepared soy sauce with mustard for myself.
The smell is just too much so my little two doggies were pretty much in pain but you guys can't have it because of alleges.
So, they had a special dinner which is Kiki's favorites, the lamb liver.
